The view was awesome and peaceful. Loved getting up in the morning before the kids and relaxing by the Bayou. It was perfect distance from the hustle and price of Galveston .
Quite and nice place to stay!! Been here for almost 3 years now..Pretty much a quite community where everyone looks out for everyone. Pretty views, great fishing, sometimes you can see other sea life in the water..love going outside in the morning and watching the birds..
Spent a whole week here with my kids in the beginning of August. We stayed in a tent on a beautiful space under a tree. We'll be back!

Check out Roger's malt shop right up the road( we found it too late, Dang) for breakfast lunch and dinner with ice cream to boot.
We have been at Bayou Campground since February and have had the absolute best experience here. We love this park and all the people here. Everyone is super friendly. The managers have treated us like family from the minute we drove in. It is safe to say that we have made life long friends with (managers) Kenny, Rowena and Shelby Berry, as well as several of the other campers. We recommend this park to anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful, affordable, friendly place to camp. We will definitely be back to stay if we are in this area again, or anywhere close!
